Wedding ceremony in Certaldo

Certaldo is a perfect medieval Tuscan town, only 30 minutes from Florence. Certaldo is a unchanged medieval walled village with an old origin. This town is divided into an upper part called "Certaldo Alto", surrounded by fortification walls and a lower, more modern part, "Certaldo Basso". Certaldo Alto, with its characteristic red brick buildings is reached either via cable car or on foot and the views from the top will leave you speechless; the entire Chianti countryside is in front of you with its rolling hills and golden barley fields. The Certaldo wedding hall is positioned at the top of Certaldo Alto, the highest part of the town. The civil wedding ceremony can be performed in the courtyard of the magnificent Palazzo Pretorio. This Palace is a 13th century building which is very famous for the ancient stones facade that bears all the signs of the past Vicars of the town and the beautiful armorial bearings of glazed earthenware mode by famous artisans of the antique Bottega of Della Robbia. The ceremony can be arranged indoor, in a marvellous wedding hall or outdoor, in the splendid medieval courtyard. In the surrounding area of Certaldo there are some lovely churches and intimate country chapels for Catholic wedding ceremonies and many Romanesque churches are located on nearby hilltops with amazing views of the signature Tuscan countryside.
